Game development is software development, but it is also art, storytelling, music, world-building, and much more. An efficient game design team streamlines production and maximizes the skills that its members bring to diverse development tasks, from methodical problem-solving to subtle design. In this workshop, we’ll look at case studies of some games built in CRYENGINE V by teams ranging from one person to 150+ as examples of how to strategically make the most of the skills of development resources. We’ll particularly discuss visual scripting vs. coding, and when to choose one vs. both to insure that your team can work simultaneously and seamlessly to put each person’s best skills to use.

NOTE: If you’d like to follow along on your own laptop, please pre-install the latest version of CRYENGINE V and the Homebound game asset from the CRYENGINE marketplace. You can find helpful instructions for installing and getting started in the beginner’s guide.
