Game Financing in Germany
Funding a game in Germany can be a long race with many stops. The federal system is sheltering different regional funding bodies who over the years have stepped up their efforts consecutively. But they rarely offer a sufficient financial envelope that allows companies to compete outside a smaller segment of the market. Venture capitalists on the other side are yet shy as deer when it comes to funding games, at least until recently. Due to promising developments in the field of funding games in Germany and other uncertainties, we are going to shed the light on this matter and ask about the best way to fund games now and in the near future.
